- Of late I've had a number of owls, and so I am compelled to remind those reading that I am currently unavailable for private appraisals and customisations. My regrets, but work for MLE and other priority projects must come first. Look for me to write here when I have a lull.

- Malfoys: have heard much buzz about the theme of upcoming Christmas bash. Looking forward to, as always. Do let us know if you need help with preparations.

- Ministry party tonight. I and the Missus shall be in attendance, though being near mid-week, it is likely she will be called away before evening draws to a close.

She and her friend were cornered by two lads, Coty and Toubon, and were made to endure some name-calling, parcel-tossing, that sort of thing. From what I gather she simply got fed up.

A bit more fight in her than usual. I'm glad to hear it. Very.

And also glad it wasn't that Finch-Fletchley boy who was doing the cornering, seeing as my initial read was milquetoast.

Hydra and Pansy Anne are recovered, then?

Pansy A- ah, yes, both are doing brilliantly.

And no, the Finch-Fletchley boy is utterly proper and polite. No worries there.

Just spoken with her, and she confirms that she is well in hand.

Perhaps you ought to teach her that curse that shuts someone's mouth for a week, just for good measure.

Oh, well, yes, they were teasing us a bit, and it got annoying after a while, so I hexed the one named Coty. I didn't know it would hurt him there, though.

I'm fine, yes, and now some of the others girls want to learn that hex, too, in case they're ever bothered by boys.

Getting rather wise about adults, it seems. It will take me some time to get used to that, Ducks.

Kind of you to ask. Preparations are well in hand but a second opinion would not go amiss. It will be something of a departure from years past - though in the end, a welcome one, I trust. I was growing so bored with our usual fare.

Still, one likes to be assured the effect will not be a gross miscalculation.

No consistent pattern of either improvement or degradation, so whatever curse damage is left is probably stablised due to the stasis treatment.

Possible triggers include bright lights, lack of sleep, stress, and weather fluctuation. I'm to do what I can to avoid all four, though how does one actually go about avoiding weather fluctuation, I'd like to know.

That news... could be better. Or worse.

And on the last, I'll see if I can think of something.

Even if you do, what then? A blizzard's coming and I stay in my rooms? Not happening. Only option is to endure 'til point of collapse.

Anyway, least they were familiar enough with my history to know not to offer up an unlimited supply of high-grade pain potions. Small favours.

It's been long enough that you could manage a limited supply, though perhaps best under supervision of the school Matron.
